The Dietetics in Health Care Communities of New Jersey is a state level Dietetics Practice group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.  It is made up of Dietitians and Dietetic Technicians either working in or with an interest in populations of Long Term Care Residences, Assisted Living Residences, Group Homes, Sub-Acute and Acute Rehabilitation Centers or who participate in Adult Day Care Programs. The group was established in 1968 and is celebrating it’s 50th year anniversary in 2018.

Our members provide leadership to our communities and to the public. Our mission is to keep members current with advances and trends in nutrition, new regulations and processes. DHCC of New Jersey offers 3 seminars each year for professionals in these areas.

The group publishes the Dietetics in Health Care Communities of New Jersey Diet Manual with the latest edition printed in 2018.

Our mission is also to develop and maintain a liaison with individuals and associations with common concerns:

• CDM's
• Food Service Supervisors
• Legislators
• Educational Institutions

• Assisted Living
